Job Title: Substitute Paraeducator
Job Brief:
We are looking for people who enjoy being part of a school community and can implement educational programs for students with special needs. Your responsibilities will include reinforcing learning for students, providing positive behavior support, and implementing lesson plans to help students with disabilities. Our district is looking for creative problem-solvers who are good teammates and enjoy working with students from diverse backgrounds. We strive to work as a team to help students meet their full potential through the implementation of dynamic educational programs. Location: Various school locations throughout Manhattan and Ogden.
Salary:
$11.15/hour.
This position is not eligible for benefits.
Hours Per Day:
Times may vary depending on the building assignment.
Flexible hours depending on availability.
Average workday = 7.5 hours.
FLSA Status:
Non-Exempt.
Qualifications:
Minimum requirements are 48 college hours or successfully passing the Master Teacher Para Assessment Test.
CPR and First Aid certificates are highly recommended.
All USD 383 employees must pass a background check.
Reports To:
Teacher/Case Manager/Principal.
Job Duties:
Full range of educational/non-educational duties in the following areas: classroom, clerical, lunch/recess, and personal needs.
Appropriately deal with confidentiality issues and attend appropriate in-service training.
Abides by the general policy rules and regulations of USD 383.
Performs other duties as assigned by the teacher or building administration.
