Placement within this range is based on relevant qualifications, including prior experience, education, and applicable certifications (e.g., bachelor's degree, advanced certification, bilingual proficiency, etc.). Hours Per Day: 6:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Terms of Employment: 12-month position. New employees go through a 45-day introductory period as part of onboarding after which benefits will begin, and leave can be used. Reports To: Transportation Shop Foreman
  • Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on the evaluation of classified personnel. Job Duties: Perform vehicle maintenance of buses, cars, vans, suvs and trucks; oil changes, tire replacements, brakes, etc. Repair torn/ripped seats as needed. Fuel buses and vans as needed. Handle cleaning chemicals, fuel, gasoline, lubricants, and oils daily. Wash/detail school buses, activity bus and vans. Maintain outward appearance of school buses by waxing them as needed. Follow work assignments from Shop Foreman and Transportation Director and perform any special duties necessary for efficient operation of the transportation facility. Perform work in neat and organized manner in all weather conditions. Performs such other duties as may be assigned.
