Job Title: Educational Certified Nurse Aide.
Job Brief:
- The Educational CNA is a key member of the school health team. These professionals will assist in creating a climate of health, safety, and well-being in our schools.
Location: Various locations across the district.
Salary:
Hours Per Day:
- Elementary hours: 8:30-4:00.
- Average workday = 7.5 hours.
Days Per Year:
- Salary and work year as established by the Board of Education.

Qualifications:
- CNA or LPN preferred.
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Willingness to obtain and maintain CPR certification and Red Cross First Aid Certification.
- Demonstrated entry level computer knowledge.
- All USD 383 employess must pass complete a background check.
Reports To:
- Supervising RN, Case Manager, and Building Principal.
Job Duties:
- Works with the supervising RN and school case manager to implement programs for individual children with special health/medical needs.
- Supports students with health needs within the classroom setting.
- Provision of minor or emergent first aid care.
- Maintains up-to-date cumulative health records on all assigned children both on the computer and in the student’s file as needed.
- Communicates with the supervising RN unusual symptoms of students to seek direction for appropriate action.
- With special education team, notifies parent of student’s medical concerns and, if necessary, stays with student until parent arrives.
- Maintains health log of students seen and disposition indicating care given.
- Administers medications, treatments, and regimens prescribed by a licensed physician under the supervision of the building RN.
- Attends nursing meetings as needed.
- Performs specific delegated procedures and other duties as assigned by the supervising RN.
