Job Title: At-Risk Aide

Salary:
Hours Per Day:
- Elementary hours: 8:40-4:00
- Times may vary depending on the building assignment
- Flexible hours depending on availability
- Average workday = 6.5 hours
Days Per Year:
- Positions available during the school year. Position dependent on At-Risk funds.
Benefits:
- Vision and dental insurance are available for employees working 17.5hours/week.
- Health is available for employees working at least 30+/week with a value of district contributions of $7,320 per year.

FLSA Status:
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Strong conceptual, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Demonstrated aptitude for work being performed.
- Ability to make responsible decisions in accordance with established policies and regulations promptly.
- All USD 383 employees must pass a background check.
Reports To:
- Teacher/Building Principal
- Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on the evaluation of classified personnel.
Job Duties:
- Works with individuals or small groups to reinforce materials introduced by the teacher.
- Helps students master equipment or instructional materials assigned by teacher.
- Assists with student supervision during lunch and recess.
- Check notebooks, corrects papers, supervise testing and make-up work assigned by teacher.
- Reads to students and listens to students read in addition to other forms of oral communication with students.
- Any additional duties assigned by the teacher.
