Job Title: Crossing Guard. 

Job Brief: 

• Do you love to wear a safety neon vest and carry a large stop sign? Do you ever feel the need to dance and make our students smile? We have the perfect part-time job for you! We need enthusiastic, positive, and dependable crossing guards who are ready to work rain or shine. Our district is looking for outgoing teammates who appreciate working with students and staff from diverse backgrounds. This is the perfect job for veterans, retirees and people who want to work outside for a few hours a week. 

Location: 

• Specific elementary school locations throughout the district.
  

Salary:  

• $12.00 hour.
  

Hours Per Day: Vary by location but are approximately the following:  

• Elementary – 8:00 – 8:45 am and 3:30 – 4:15 pm.
  

Days Per Year: 

• Position available during the regular school year.
  

Benefits: 

• Paid leave for sick and personal days.
  
• No nights – no weekends! 

FLSA Status:  

• Non-Exempt 

Qualifications: 

• High School Diploma or GED.
  
• Must be punctual and dependable.
  
• Must be comfortable with standing for up to two hours at a time.
  
• Must be aware of safety practices.
  
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
  
• Must be willing to work with students, staff and parents in a positive manner.
  

Reports To:  

• Director of Transportation.
   

Job Duties: 

• Assist students in safely crossing the street at designated locations and time.
  
• Performs other duties as assigned.
