JOB BRIEF:
- Under the direction of the district and site administrator, the coordinator will supervise the summer school program for USD 383 providing appropriate planning, coordination and supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Education and Experience.
- Valid teaching credential authorizing service at the elementary level.
- Administrative Services Credential preferred but not required.
- Excellent Communication & Organizational Skills.
- Ability to work cooperatively with staff and community.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT/SALARY:
- Summer Only Position
- $2,500 Stipend
REPORTS TO:
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for planning, coordinating and administering the summer school program, preparing appropriate reports and providing support for the program and staff.
- Develops and implements effective publicity and information regarding the summer school program.
- Assists in the hiring of the summer school staff.
- Provides effective support to summer school staff.
- Identifies students eligible for participation in the summer school program 6. Implements and monitors the effectiveness of summer school curriculum.
- Implements an effective and appropriate record keeping summer school attendance program.
- Prepares appropriate reports concerning students’ progress and the summer school program.
- Counsels students regarding social/emotional learning and, if necessary, holds conferences with parents and staff.
- Provides classroom equipment , supplies and textbooks for all appropriate staff 11. Coordinates food program with Food Service and Transportation Manage.r
- Monitors expenses as they relate to the summer school program.
- May be assigned other duties and responsibilities as required.
FSLA STATUS: Non-Exempt
EVALUATION: Performance will be evaluated annually in accordance with the Board of Education’s policy on evaluation of certified personnel.
