Job Brief:

Location: Various Locations throughout Manhattan and Ogden.
Salary:
- Day Shift - $13.00/hour.
- Evening Shift - $13.50/hour.
- Evening Shift Leader - $14.50/hour.
- Head Custodian - $14.54/hour.
Hours Per Day:
- Day Shift – 6:00 am – 3:00 pm.
- Evening Shift – 3:00 pm – 12:00 am.
Days Per Year:
- Full and part time positions available.
- Options for flexible hours.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Ability to stand and work for extended periods.
- Valid Kansas driver’s license.
- Ability to read and follow basic operating instructions.
- Must be able to lift 100 lbs. waist level and 60 lbs. repetitively.
- Dependable and punctual.
- Experience preferred, but will provide training.
- All USD 383 employees must pass a background check.
Reports To:
Job Duties:
- Ability to work effectively on a team and/or individually.
- Clean and preserve district facilities and grounds according to industry/district standards.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub and refinish floors; clean, dust and polish furniture; wash windows and walls; clean restrooms; dispose of trash; change light bulbs, etc.
- Support a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency.
- Maintain inventory of supplies, tools and equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance to extend life of equipment and reduce repair costs.
- Repair furniture and equipment (desk, chairs, light bulbs, sinks, toilets, etc.) to ensure a safe and functional facility.
- Aid with set up and clean-up of building activities and programs.
- Assist with snow and ice removal.
- Promotes the safety, health and comfort of students and employees.
- Attend and participate in custodial and maintenance meetings and trainings.
- Conduct daily inspections/maintain awareness of facility and equipment to prevent injuries and/or damage.
- Any additional duties assigned by the supervisor.
