Job Brief:
- Create a climate of health and well-being for USD 383 students and staff.
Location: Elementary Schools.
Qualifications:
- CNA or LPN preferred.
- High School Diploma.
- Willingness to obtain and maintain CPR certification and Red Cross Fist Aid Certification.
- Demonstrated entry level computer knowledge.
- All USD 383 employees must pass a background check.
Salary:
Hours Per Day:
- Early Learning: 7:00-3:00.
- Elementary hours: 8:00-4:00.
- Secondary hours: 7:00-3:00.
- Times may vary depending on the building assignment.
- Average workday = 8 hours.
Days Per Year:
- Salary and work year as established by the Board of Education.

Reports To:
- Head Nurse/School Administrator
- Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with the provisions of the Board's policy on the evaluation of classified personnel.
Job Duties:
- Works with the supervising RN (Registered Nurse) in implementing health-related programs for the district and for individual children with special health needs.
- Provision of minor first aid care.
- Communicates with the supervising RN unusual symptoms of students to seek direction for appropriate action.
- Notifies parent of student’s symptoms of illness and, if necessary, stays with student until parent arrives.
- Maintains health room log of all students seen and disposition indicating care given.
- Administers medications, treatments, and regimens prescribed by a licensed physician under the supervision of the building RN.
- Performs specific delegated procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned by the supervising RN.
