Job Title: Summer Program Leader 

 

Job Brief:   

  • Our district is looking for creative problem-solvers who are good teammates and enjoy working with elementary students from diverse backgrounds. We strive to work as a team to help students meet their full potential through the implementation of dynamic educational programs. Our Summer Program Leaders get to build relationships with students, encouraging students to try different activities on field trips and in house, and have fun making positive memories with students.  

Location: Ogden Elementary 

 

Salary

  • $11.00/Hr. 

Hours Per Day: 

  • 11:30 A.M. - 6:00 P.M. 

Summer Dates:  

  • June 10 - 28 
  • This is a summer position only. Staff interested in continuing through the school year can be considered. 

Benefits:  

  • Vision and dental insurance are available for employees working 17.5hours/week. 
  • Health is available for employees working at least 30+/week with a value of district contributions of $7,320 per year. 
  • Retirement Plan options available for employees working at least 17.5 hours/week. 
  • Short-term disability available for employees working at least 17.5 hours/week. 
  • Paid sick and personal leave. 

FLSA Status:   

  • Non-Exempt. 

Qualifications:  

  • High School diploma or GED. 
  • All USD 383 employees must pass a background check.  
  • Prefer one-year experience in day care or school program. 
  • Effective communication skills are required. 
  • Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with students and fellow employees. 

Reports To

  • Principal, Program Coordinator. 
  • Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on the evaluation of classified personnel. 

Job Duties:  

  • Supervises groups of children in the summer school program. 
  • Supervises assigned children during outdoor/gymnasium activities, swimming, field trips. 
  • Implements prepared program plans, conducts assigned activities, develops activities, and cleans up area. 
  • Works effectively with others to create a harmonious and productive workplace. 
  • Arrives promptly and adheres to scheduled hours. 
  • Ability to communicate and work with staff effectively. 
  • Performs such other duties as may be assigned.
